Princier SuiteHotels

The opening in September 2004 of the Hotel Le Royal in Luxembourg marked a new phase in the rapid growth of GMH and the group’s entry into the hospitality business. Considered one of the top 50 in the world, the hotel was the first of the six strong luxury Le Royal chain.

Through GMH’s rapidly expanding subsidiary Compagnie Européenne d’Hôtellerie, the group owns and manages hotels under the Residéal brand in the South of France.

Other properties owned by GMH include the Miguel Angel in Madrid, El Minzah and Villa de France in Tangiers and the Occidental Hotel and villa complex in Hammamet, Tunisia. The group also has investments in a number of hotels in Sharm El-Sheik and an 80% stake in the new Hilton hotel that is being built in the Solidere area of Beirut.

Leisure

In keeping with its broadly based real estate portfolio, GMH owns several leisure facilities. The largest of these is WaterGate Park, the 14,000 square metre water theme park in Beirut, Lebanon. Among the many exciting attractions, WaterGate boasts the 4.10 metre-wide and 150 metre long Mega Slide, the first one to be built outside the USA.

Elsewhere, the group has a controlling interest in Cosmo Sport in Dusseldorf, Germany and The Dunes Club, in Amman, Jordan. Recent refurbishments mean that members of The Dunes now enjoy access to a 120 room boutique hotel, a children’s playground and a bowling alley alongside the usual social and fitness facilities.
